JobsSNA collaborates with local industry employers and other stakeholders to provide information sessions detailing local job opportunities and training directly from the employers. Participants will:

  • Gain insights into the variety of roles and work opportunities in specific industries.

  • Attend engaging ‘top tips’ sessions on:

    • Selling yourself to employers

    • Making your resume stand out

    • Understanding workplace requirements such as PPE and WHS

    • Exploring career aspirations.

Participants are also invited to industry tours and given the chance to engage in relevant training opportunities.

Our Goal

JobsSNA aims to increase participant awareness of industry sectors experiencing workforce shortages, thereby improving pathways to sustainable employment. The program will be active in Goulburn, Yass Valley, Queanbeyan-Palerang, and Snowy Monaro, providing participants from these regions the opportunity to confidently engage with employers and secure jobs.

Testimonials from 2023 Program

I was privileged to represent Vacvator and be part of the Southern Inland information Session and share our knowledge and expertise & job vacancies with those who are seeking employment opportunities.

Your platform allowed us to reach a wider audience to advertise our business and employment opportunities.

I firmly believe that by working together, we can make a significant difference in uplifting individuals’ lives and helping them achieve their career goals.

Tahlia absolutely LOVED the tour. For her to hear about others journey’s within the industry and the opportunities that are out there was eye opening for her and has really motivated her to think about her future and how to start her own journey.

Learning about all the different avenues from the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council tour had really planted that seed for Tahlia, and she was so fascinated to learn that so many opportunities and avenues can stem just from one position. However, after seeing Jye at Canberra Build and hearing about all of all the background work needed for each project -it had really sparked that light. Being able to hear his story and relate to his youth years is exactly what she needed. She is now PASSIONATE about where she wants to start. She is MOTIVATED to make those step in the right direction. She is ENGAGING in her education again because she knows this is something that can benefit the path she wishes to go down.

We need more of these! I cannot stress enough how fantastic these tours are. Often people lose that desire or interest in exploring the possible opportunities that are out there for them. However, It only takes just one person’s story to resinate and change that mindset. Going from “I don’t know what to do ” to “this is what I want to explore” is the switch we are wanting to see and encourage!
