Regional Development Manager

THE ROLE:

The Regional Development Manager is a key leadership role engaging with stakeholders to target gaps and deliver solutions to drive the economic and social development of the Southern NSW. The role is full time, hybrid remote, with regular in person team and stakeholder meetings and events.  You will be the key connector in the regions of Upper Lachlan, Hilltops, Wingecarribee, Goulburn-Mulwaree and Yass Valley.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of economic and social development with a regional focus. 

  • Understanding of core challenges and opportunities in regional NSW. 

  • High level communication skills, written and verbal. 

  • Ability to deliver outcomes within complex frameworks.

  • Exceptional stakeholder relationship development and management capabilities. 

  • Extensive experience in event coordination and/or project management.

  • Capacity to juggle multiple competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience with budgeting and financial management skills. 

  • High level technology skills using Microsoft365, SharePoint and Outlook. 

  • Qualifications in policy, economics, commerce, business, project management, or at least 5 years’ experience in related occupations.  

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience using Mailchimp, CRM and project management software.

  • Experience delivering programs with public funds.

  • Experience developing innovative solutions to regional problems.

  • Established stakeholder relationships in the regions you represent. 

  • Experience with grant writing and/or data analytics.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  • You must live in one of these regions: Upper Lachlan, Wingcarribee, Yass Valley, Goulburn-Mulwaree or Hilltops.

  • Current driver’s license and good driving history.

  • Appropriate space to Work from Home with WHS compliant facilities. 

  • Must be prepared to travel for regular team meetings. 

  • Must be able to travel across the region and stay overnight when required.
