As of April 1st, 2024, Regional Development Australia (RDA) Southern Inland, RDA ACT and 2/3 RDA South Coast have merged to become one entity – Regional Development Australia Southern NSW & ACT.

After receiving a large number of nominations and conducting a thorough recruitment and interview process, 5 additional new Board members have now been appointed, giving the organisation very good regional coverage and particularly in the new areas of Eurobodalla, Bega and ACT of our region explains Chair Rowena Abbey OAM.

“The level of interest and the calibre of nominations that we received were incredibly encouraging, and the new board reflects the high degree of business acumen and community connection which can be found across the RDA Southern NSW & ACT region.”

Joining our Chair, Rowena Abbey OAM, and the other 4 current Board members are the following distinguished new board members:

"I am honoured to work with this dynamic team of board members as we embark on this new chapter of growth and inclusivity," said Chair Rowena Abbey. "Together, we will work tirelessly to ensure that RDASNA continues to make a positive impact on the communities we serve."

“I’m excited and incredibly honoured to be appointed inaugural Board Chair for this new chapter of RDA Southern NSW & ACT, as the decisions we make in the next few years will define our region for decades to come” Ms Abbey explains.

“With the recent merger bringing together our three areas, it was incredibly important that the new board reflected the best and brightest of the new region as well as representing all the facets that make up our vibrant and diversified economy – and I believe that balance is something that we have clearly achieved.”

“With the appointment of the new RDA Southern NSW & ACT Board, we are very confident that our team will play a meaningful role in strengthening our relationships with all levels of government and communities throughout our region, as well as working at a strategic level to make a difference to all current and future businesses and citizens that call Southern NSW & ACT home.”
